Checklist for travel and vaccination consultations
- Here you can find the price list for travel and vaccination advice (available in German only).
- Kindly note that we only accept payments by EC card or credit card (except American Express).
Travel medical advice, travel vaccinations, and malaria prophylaxis medications are not covered by standard health insurance and cannot be billed through your electronic health card. However, some health insurance providers may reimburse all or part of the costs as additional benefits. Please check with your insurer beforehand to confirm which services are covered.
For work-related travel, the employer typically covers the costs (G35 cost coverage by the employer/sender). We recommend confirming this with your employer in advance. If applicable, please bring a cost coverage certificate with you.
- The Institute of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine of the LMU Klinikum assumes no liability for whether and to what extent reimbursement of costs by your health insurance company is possible.
If you have respiratory symptoms, please wear an FFP2 mask (not a medical mask) throughout the entire outpatient clinic building (Leopoldstraße 5).
If you have already received a personal vaccination schedule (yellow vaccination schedule for adults or green vaccination schedule for children) for yourself or your children from a previous appointment at the Tropical Institute, please bring this with you to each follow-up appointment.

- Access to the outpatient clinic of the Tropical Institute is unfortunately not barrier-free and is located at the rear building (parking lot, access via the stairs in the courtyard).
- Upon arrival in the outpatient clinic waiting room (entrance via stairs in the courtyard), please check in with the reception staff.
- Then fill in the registration form ( travel medical consultation / vaccination) legibly. You will then be called in person. The form can also be filled in electronically in advance (please print out twice for each appointment and bring it with you).
- Please wear an FFP2 mask (not a medical mask) in the entire outpatient clinic building (Leopoldstraße 5) if you have cold symptoms.
