Welcome to the Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital, also known as LMU Hospital, in Munich. Together we strive to accomplish our mission: to provide state of the art medical treatment in a caring environment supported by groundbreaking research.

Thanks to its achievements in research, teaching and care, our university hospital enjoys an excellent reputation both in Germany and abroad. Its 11,683 staff members from 122 nations provide care in 48 clinical departments, institutes and divisions as well as in 53 interdisciplinary centers, enabling individual and safe medical care through efficient diagnosis and therapy.

Close to 500,000 patients from all over the world are treated every year at our two locations, Campus City Center (Campus Innenstadt) and Campus Großhadern. One of the largest university hospitals in Europe with approximately 2,000 beds in modern facilities and cutting-edge equipment, LMU Hospital provides high standards of diagnosis, nursing and treatment.
