Structured training - "Hausarzt 360°"
LMU residency and leadership program “Hausarzt 360°”
-
With the ongoing generational change in the primary care sector, the number of practicing physicians is decreasing, and with it the number of those who can competently represent general practice in research, political and social institutions.
The LMU residency and leadership program “Hausarzt 360°” was therefore launched in the fall of 2017 with the goal of training excellent young doctors to become medical leaders in the area of general practice and family medicine, with the potential to help shape the future of primary care in clinical practice, science, healthcare policy and society.

A structured residency is also possible through the training networks of the KoStA (coordination center for general practice): In many regions of Bavaria, general practitioners in private practice have joined forces with hospitals and other specialists in order to offer young physicians an integrated solution for the entire primary care residency and training period.
Further information regarding general practice residency as well as training networks can be found on the KoStA homepage: https://www.kosta-bayern.de/
You can find the current residency regulations and guidelines on the pages of the Bavarian Medical Association: https://www.blaek.de/weiterbildung
