Prof. Sebastian Kobold Appointed Scout for the Henriette Herz-Scouting Program

Prof. Kobold is seeking excellent early-career postdoctoral researchers from around the world with a strong interest in the field of immunology and immuno-oncology to apply for a Humboldt Foundation fellowship and conduct their research at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology at LMU Munich, Germany.

Profile of candidates: junior researchers– explicitly not from Germany and without previous study periods or research periods here. The goal of the program is to bring such people to Germany for their research, sponsored by a fellowship of the Humboldt Foundation. As main criteria, candidates must have completed their doctorate no more than twelve years ago and demonstrate above-average achievements for their career stage.

Funding: The selected candidate will receive a scholarship for a duration of 6 to 24 months – depending on project and career level, which includes a net salary ranging from 3000 to 3600 euros per month, as well as 800 euros per month to cover laboratory expenses. Additional benefits include a mobility allowance for up to three international visits, coverage for health and social insurance, and potentially an extra allowance based on family circumstances.

The project is expected to start as soon as possible after obtaining the necessary visa, if relevant, ideally between 2026 and 2027.
