Postdoc in the Epidemiology of Allergic Diseases

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with a passion to work in the field of allergy research within a multidisciplinary team.

The main tasks will include:

• Independent development and pursuit of research questions
• Analysis of large complex datasets, including longitudinal cohort data, environmental data and OMICS data (e.g. genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, single-cell transcriptomics and epigenetics)
• Manuscript preparation and presentation of results
• Support in the supervision of PhD and graduate students
• Contribution to various projects within the team and with external project partners
• Opportunity to write independent grant applications

• Doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field

• Prior experience in researching allergic disease or immunological endpoints, related to the analysis of OMICS data
• Thorough knowledge of statistical methods and programming skills, including R software and associated packages, as well as epidemiological modeling techniques
• A strong track record of published research, demonstrating the ability to conduct high-impact studies
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English
• A passion for advancing knowledge in public health and epidemiology, with high motivation and commitment to pursue research projects independently and in collaboration

• Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector. The position is (initially) limited to 2 years.
